The Philodendron Hederaceum is commonly known as the Philodendron Brasil. It's a classic, and practically no-fail houseplant because it's so easy to grow. Happily, this makes it a pretty common indoor plant that works well with all types of furniture.

WATER: once a week, keep soil evenly moist

LIGHT: Medium to bright indirect light, but can grow in low light conditions at a slower rate.

ISSUES:

• leaves yellowing/brown/black - overwatering / overloving

• leaves curling - underwatering/ plant is too cold (much like when humans cross their arms to warm up, plants sometimes curl their leaves inward as though they’re trying to “fold up” again)

• leaves drooping - underwatering

• leaves losing variegation - too little sunlight

Common Name(s): Adanson's monstera, Swiss cheese vine, five holes plant

The Swiss Cheese plant, gets its name from its large, heart-shaped leaves, which become covered with holes that resemble swiss cheese as it gets older. Part of the Araceae family that's native to South and Central America, this Monstera is easy to grow and loves to climb and grow upwards.

WATER: Consistently moist, but not soaked. If soil seems dry to the touch, it’s time to water

LIGHT: Bright indirect light to partial shade

ISSUES:

• leaves yellowing - underwatered or overexposure to sun (steer clear or direct full sun) or chemicals in water. (water with purified distilled water if possible)

WATER: Water once a month. Our rule of thumb when watering these plants are try to water on the first of the month. When the major bills are due, so is their water supply. Do not mist. These plants would rather be forgotten about than nurtured every day.

LIGHT: The “Neglect-Me Pack” is NOT picky about needing bright light and plants sent in this bundle prefer low indirect light from a northern or western facing window.

ISSUES:

• The most probable issue that may arise with these plants are overwatering/over-loving. In which situation, the plants may begin to droop or fall apart because of heavy water retention in the leaves. These plants in this pack don’t need to be misted and do not need watering more than once a month. In the event of over watering, allow the plant to dry out, waiting much longer than usual between waterings until plant’s condition has stabilized.
