3 Large Tillandsia Air Plant Variety Pack
Tillandsia Types: 1 Bulbosa, 1 Juncea, 1 Butzii
Air plants are quickly becoming a fanatic favorite amongst the plant-obsessed family and community. Air plants differ greatly from other plants in how they absorb water, as they do not need a root system. Their roots are mainly used to secure them to other plants or rocks for anchoring. Instead, along the leaves of tillandsias are tiny hair-like structures called trichomes and this is how they take in moisture. In air plants that live in dry arid climates, the number of trichomes will be ample, giving the plant that famous silver or white look they are so well-known for. In this variety bundle you will find 3 Large Air Plant Tillandsias: 1 Bulbosa, 1 Juncea, 1 Butzii that are all-around 3-5 Inches large. They can be styled in unlimited ways in your home because of their ease of placement (no need for soil or roots).
NATIVE LAND: Mexico, Central and South America
WATER: Light mistings every 2-3 days. If 2-3 days is a bit excessive to remember, leave out a bowl of tap water overnight (allowing the chlorine and fluoride to evaporate), and place the plants inside the water for a couple hours. Take out and shake excess water out. Place plant as much on its “face” as possible, making sure not to allow water to sit inside the plant. Repeat every 3-4 weeks. An easy and Ideal location for many air plants is a bathroom for the constant natural humidity.
LIGHT: Very adaptable to light and partial shade. Won’t particularly like bright sun and would prefer indirect light and partial shade, but flexible none the less.
ISSUES:
brown spots on leaves - over-exposure to sunlight
leaves rapidly falling off /plant falling apart - overwatered /overloved
BENEFITS: Excellent at purifying the air you breathe! Air plants are the perfect plants to display in your bedroom because they photosynthesize at night, emitting fresh oxygen into the air while you sleep!
PET/KID FRIENDLY: Not toxic to humans and pets
