Botanical Name: Hoya Hindu Rope
Common Name(s): Hindu Rope, Porcelain Flower, Wax Plant, Honey Plant, Krinkle Curl
Description: Unique Hindu rope plants, Hoya carnosa compacta, are draping succulent vines that produce clusters of star-shaped waxy flowers. The thick, twisted, curly, cupped leaves of a Hindu rope plant are why it’s often called Krinkle Kurl. Hindu rope plants can be found in solid green or with variegated leaves. This type of hoya plant is very easy to care for as long as you have plenty of light and are careful with your water.

NATIVE LAND: Eastern Asia and Australia
WATER: Water when the soil is almost completely dry (barely damp). Allow the potting medium to become almost dry before watering. During cold months, when your plant is dormant, you can cut back and only water him/her occasionally.
LIGHT: Bright indirect light but can survive in lower light conditions. Avoid direct sun that can burn your plant.
ISSUES:
leaf drop/ leaf blackening - poor soil drainage/ plant too cold during winter months (move to a new warmer location
wilting - overwatering or excessive fertilizer
not flowering - possible insufficient lighting
root rot - overwatering/ overloving
