Pothos 'Neon'
Botanical Name: Epipremnum pinnatum
Common Name(s): Neon Pothos
An electrifying color variation on the standard Pothos. ‘Neon’ has all of the tough, reliable features houseplant lovers have come to expect from Pothos, but with glowing, neon-green foliage. Pothos plants are arguably one of the easiest plants to grow and actually thrive on low light and neglect. Place this vibrant beauty where his/her vines can fall freely or trail along a shelf for the best effect. Looks great grown in containers and hanging baskets. A terrific plant for tall plant stands where the trailing foliage will create a cascade of foliage over time. Neon pothos grow at a fast pace and do well in hanging baskets or anyplace where their trailing vines can fall freely and wander while growing. Their cuttings can even live for years in plain water, so this makes it easy to add a houseplant to hard-to-reach places. The perfect low-maintenance plant for any home that needs a nice visual pop of color and light !
NATIVE: Southeast Asia
LIGHT: Neon pothos are very tolerant of low light and even florescent light will suffice for this plant. Pothos plants like average home temperatures between 65° and 80°F.
WATER: when the 1st inch of soil becomes dry. Even if you wait until the top 2 inches are dry, chances are your pothos can take the short drought, but don’t test it !
ISSUES: leaves turning pale means your pothos is getting too much light. Move it away from the sunlight source and resume care.
BENEFITS: An excellent living air purifier, able to remove toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide (found in paint, carpeting, and even insulation), while also helping eliminate odors.
PET/KID FRIENDLY: Mildly toxic to humans and pets
