Botanical Name: Peperomia caperata 'Rosso'

Common Names: Peperomia Rosso, Eden Rosso

The Rosso has very distinctive pointed leaves with an attractive flowering variety with striking red undersides and deeply grooved glossy green leaves. Native to tropical Brazil, this plant will require similar care to most peperomias and succulents.

NATIVE LAND: Brazil

WATER: Water every 3- 4 weeks. We personally water our peperomia once a month, because he is so drought tolerant. Water infrequently and allow soil to almost completely dry out between waterings.

LIGHT: He/she will do best in bright, indirect light. Peperomia Rosso will also do well in partial sun or with either morning or evening sun. This plant will not tolerate direct sunlight.

ISSUES:

  • excessive watering may cause root rot

  • withered/ deformed leaves - pinch or prune them off and your plant will; likely recover on its own.

BENEFITS: Wolverton's Clean Air study claims that Peperomia reduces the level of formaldehyde indoors by 47%. This plant proves itself to be useful, carefree, and visually striking, in every way.
